1. General Provisions
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter: "Terms") set out the conditions for using the services available on the bookify.hu website and application (hereinafter: "Platform") operated by HorizonLabs Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság (hereinafter: "Provider").

By starting to use the Platform or completing registration, the User accepts the provisions of these Terms. Use of the Service is governed by Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code (Ptk.), Act CVIII of 2001 on Electronic Commerce Services (Ektv.), and Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.) on the detailed rules of contracts between consumers and businesses.
2. Definitions
- Platform: The online appointment booking and business management system available on the bookify.hu website and application.
- Service Provider User (Subscriber): A natural or legal person (business) who registers on the Platform to manage their services online, accept appointments, and administer their clients.
- End User (Client): A natural person who books an appointment or uses services through a Service Provider User.
- Team Member: An employee or administrator invited by a Subscriber who has access to the Subscriber's account with defined permissions.
- Subscription Plan: The available packages of the Service that define the features available and their limitations.
3. Description of the Service
Bookify is a cloud-based (SaaS) appointment booking and business management platform that provides the following main features:
- Online appointment booking system through a public booking page
- Management of services, prices, and durations
- Client database and client management
- Team member management and work schedule planning
- Automatic email and SMS notifications (booking confirmation, reminders, modifications)
- Online payment acceptance (Stripe integration)
- Google Calendar synchronisation
- Management of passes, coupons, and discounts
- Custom forms and questionnaires
- Revenue statistics and reports
- Expense management
- AI-based text generation (for service descriptions)
- Customisable booking page with your own logo and colours
4. Registration and Account
To use the Platform, the Subscriber must register. Registration is possible in the following ways:
- By providing an email address and password
- Login with Google account (OAuth)
- Login with Facebook account (OAuth)
During registration, the password must meet the following requirements:
- At least 8 characters
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one number
The User is obliged to provide accurate and up-to-date information. The User is responsible for the security of their account and keeping their password confidential. The Provider is not liable for damages resulting from unauthorised use of the password.
Only one account may be created per email address. The account is personal and may not be transferred.
5. Subscription Plans and Fees
The Platform offers the following subscription tiers:
- Starter (Free): Limited features, available immediately after registration.
- Solo Professional: For sole traders — with extended features.
- Solo Business: For sole traders — with full functionality.
- Team Starter: For teams — with basic features.
- Team Professional: For teams — with full functionality.
- Enterprise: For custom needs — with individual pricing.
The fees for paid subscription plans are listed in the Platform's price list, which is always available on the website. Prices are stated in Hungarian Forints (HUF) and Euros (EUR).
Subscribers may begin paid packages with a 14-day free trial, after which the subscription renews automatically and the stated fee is charged.
6. Payment Terms
- Stripe, Inc. processes all payments. The Provider does not store card details directly.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of the chosen period (monthly/annual) unless cancelled by the Subscriber before expiry.
- Subscribers can also accept online payments from their own clients via the Stripe Connect integration.
- The Provider may modify prices. Subscribers will be notified by email at least 30 days in advance. Modified prices take effect from the next billing cycle.
7. Right of Withdrawal and Cancellation
A Subscriber who qualifies as a consumer may withdraw from the contract without giving reasons within 14 days of conclusion of the contract, pursuant to Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.). The intention to withdraw must be sent to hello@bookify.hu.
If the Subscriber has started using the Service within the 14-day withdrawal period and subsequently withdraws, they are obliged to pay the proportionate fee for use of the Service.
The subscription may be cancelled at any time in the Platform settings or by email to hello@bookify.hu. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — the Service remains accessible until then. No refund is provided for the period already paid.
8. User Obligations
The User undertakes to:
- Use the Platform only for lawful purposes, in compliance with applicable Hungarian and EU law.
- Not upload content that violates law, infringes copyright, is obscene, threatening, or otherwise unlawful.
- Act as an independent data controller with respect to the personal data of their own clients, and fulfil their information and data protection obligations under GDPR.
- Use the Platform's bulk email and SMS sending features only with the consent of the recipients, in compliance with Act XLVIII of 2008 on economic advertising.
- Not attempt to circumvent or hack the Platform's security systems, or gain unauthorised access to third-party accounts.
- Conduct only lawful data collection through the custom forms and questionnaires created on the Platform.
9. Provider Rights and Obligations
- The Provider strives for continuous and uninterrupted operation of the Platform, but does not guarantee 100% availability.
- The Provider is entitled to carry out maintenance breaks on the Platform, for which Subscribers will be notified in advance where possible.
- The Provider is entitled to unilaterally amend these Terms, the Service features, and the prices. Subscribers will be notified of material changes at least 30 days in advance.
- The Provider is entitled to suspend or delete the account of any User who breaches these Terms.
- The Provider is obliged to handle Subscribers' data in accordance with applicable data protection regulations (see: Privacy Policy).
10. Intellectual Property
The Platform (the Bookify software, including its source code, graphic elements, logo, textual content, and database structure) is the intellectual property of the Bookify rights holder, protected by Act LXXVI of 1999 on copyright (Szjt.). The Provider operates the Platform under a licence agreement.
By using the Service, the User does not acquire any intellectual property rights over the Platform. Copying, distributing, modifying, or reverse-engineering the Platform's content is strictly prohibited.
With respect to content (images, descriptions, logos) uploaded by the Subscriber to the Platform, the Subscriber warrants that they hold the necessary usage rights and do not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
11. Limitation of Liability
The Provider's liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The Platform is provided on an "as is" basis. The Provider does not guarantee that the Platform will always operate without errors or interruption.
- The Provider is not liable for the legal relationship between the Subscriber and their clients, the quality of services provided by the Subscriber, or the fulfilment of appointments.
- The Provider is not liable for service outages caused by force majeure events (natural disaster, server failure, cyberattack, internet service provider outage).
- The Provider's maximum liability shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by the Subscriber in the last 12 months.
- The Provider is not liable for the content generated by AI — AI-generated texts are used by the Subscriber at their own risk.
12. Data Protection
Detailed information on the processing of personal data is contained in the Privacy Policy, which forms an inseparable part of these Terms.
The Subscriber, as an independent data controller of their clients' data, enters into a data processing relationship with the Provider pursuant to Article 28 GDPR when using the Platform. The Subscriber is obliged to maintain their own privacy policy.
13. Service Suspension and Account Deletion
The Provider is entitled to suspend or permanently delete a Subscriber's account in the following cases:
- In the event of a serious or repeated breach of the Terms.
- In the event of unlawful activity (spam, fraud, uploading infringing content).
- If the Subscriber's subscription fee remains overdue for more than 30 days despite payment requests.
- If the Subscriber has been inactive for more than 12 months (for free plan users).
The Subscriber may request deletion of their account at any time by emailing hello@bookify.hu. Upon deletion, data will be permanently removed within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law (e.g. 8 years for accounting documents).
14. Availability and Maintenance
The Provider aims for 99.5% annual availability of the Platform. Subscribers will be notified of planned maintenance at least 24 hours in advance.
Maintenance periods do not constitute service outages and do not give rise to claims for compensation.
15. Third-Party Service Integrations
The Platform integrates with the following third-party services:
- Stripe — payment processing and Stripe Connect. Use also constitutes acceptance of Stripe's terms of service.
- Twilio — sending SMS notifications.
- Google Calendar — calendar synchronisation (with the User's explicit consent).
- Google / Facebook OAuth — login with social account.
The Provider is not liable for the availability, operation, or potential changes of third-party service providers.
16. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Subscribers may submit complaints to hello@bookify.hu or by calling +36 20 549 2533. The Provider will investigate complaints within 30 days and respond in writing.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and the legal relationships arising from them are governed by Hungarian law. The parties shall endeavour to resolve disputes by negotiation in the first instance. Failing this, the court having jurisdiction and competence at the Provider's registered seat shall have exclusive jurisdiction over the dispute, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
18. Miscellaneous
- If any provision of these Terms becomes invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
- The Provider is entitled to engage subcontractors and data processors for the provision of the Service.
- The Terms are drawn up in Hungarian. In the event of any discrepancy between the Hungarian and any translated version, the Hungarian version shall prevail.
- The User is not entitled to transfer the rights and obligations arising from the Service to a third party without the prior written consent of the Provider.
